{FORCE-HTTP} Updated: 07/2/2009

This tag will force the current page, and all subsequent storefront pages, to load in the insecure "http://" environment.

Example of Use

Since this QuickCode tag may cause the page to automatically refresh itself, this QuickCode Tag should placed at the very beginning of the HTML template. If not, the page refresh may fail, and warning messages may be displayed on the screen.

{FORCE-HTTP} sets a session variable. That session variable tells the store to force the "http" environment. At least one page with {FORCE-HTTP} must be loaded before a page that normally defaults to https. If not, the system will default to https before the {FORCE-HTTP} tag is rendered within the page template and the session variable is set. The result would be that the first page that defaults to https would continue to do so, because no prior page set the session variable to tell it otherwise.

Source Code Source Code Updated:
When a web page using a template that contains this QuickCode Tag is viewed in the storefront, the {FORCE-HTTP} QuickCode Tag is changed into the source code below prior to the web page being displayed.
